Fixed:

1. macOS Sonoma compatibility fixes.
2. Sonoma no longer supports common Input menu hidden menu attributes. We removed all hidden attributes from the menu.
3. Fixed AutoType styled pasting under Sonoma.
4. Readability reading ease accuracy.
5. A Spelling Document Check Window hang.
6. Other macOS Sonoma general bug fixes.

Known issues:

1. The Apple Ventura and Sonoma macOS system Spelling/Grammar Service (server) is broken whereas all 3rd party macOS service grammar checking is not functional.

In other words under the Spelling/Grammar Service, Grammarian's spelling works, but Apple's grammar check shows up instead of Grammarian's grammar check.

2. Apple's Input menu submenu menu item selections are nonfunctional under macOS Sonoma. Use the Grammarian Pencil Menu instead of the Grammarian checkmark menu (Input menu).


We have submitted bug reports on these issues to Apple.

Fixed:

1. Updated links to online dictionary lookup.
2. Resized Document Check window command-key alignment.
3. Fixed Unicode formatting offsets with RTFD clipboard checking.
4. New preference settings for clipboard types.
5. Fixed the minimum macOS system version requirements for several resources. The resources wouldn't load under older systems.
6. Fixed Input menu autocomplete character commit. QuarkXPress and FireFox cause IMK blocking when the commit text length is zero under El Capitan.
7. Fixed AutoType Styled Paste expansions.


New:

1. Document Check Window Option (from Options menu) Select first indexed default suggestion:

When ON: The default suggestion selection is the first actual suggestion. The error is shown as it will be replaced in the sentence. The user can then click "Correct" or "Next".

When OFF: The default suggestion selection is the first index position. The error is shown as it actually is in the sentence. The user must arrow down or click the appropriate suggestion to click "Correct".

Known issues: The macOS Spelling/Grammar Services are broken in Ventura 13.2 whereas macOS grammar check is not functional. This is a new Apple bug (only in Ventura). We reported this to Apple, and this still hasn't been fixed as of macOS 13.3. update 5/10/23: Current reports are still marked open. We submitted a second report 5/9/23 on this. 6/17/23 This is now working on the built-in grammar check only.

Fixed:

1. The Document Check Edit window is now resizable:



2. Fixed out-of-bounds error on Document sentence edit.
3. Document Check Window positional changes are now saved (split views, etc.). Apple broke this in Monterey. Now, this works again.
4. Error detection accuracy with the RTFD Clipboard format (Scrivener, Pages, etc.)
5. Paste Changes stopped working on old macOS systems (High Sierra, etc.). It still worked under newer macOS systems.
6. Crash on Install-Success window.
7. Crash on closing Writing Rules window.
8. Reenabling of Writing Rules Window ADD functionality.

Known issues: macOS Spelling/Grammar Services are broken in Ventura 13.1. macOS grammar check is not functional. We filed a bug report with Apple to fix this.
