The Grammarian Document Grammar Check Window: Grammarian shows the full document with colored grammar errors in the left pane of the window. Navigate from error to error by clicking on the error.

Dictionary Lookup: Grammarian has a dictionary lookup on the right side of the window. Look up words if you do not understand the context.

Grammarian gives explanations of the error in the lower part of the window.

Click on any suspect error in the document error view drawer (left). Make the changes and corrections (center). Look up words and definitions in the Dictionary/Thesaurus assistant drawer (right). This powerful design makes proofreading fun! Learn as you work.

Correcting spelling mistakes is easy. The autoshow menu or window pops up and offers spelling suggestions. And, the see-through window doesn’t get in your way while you are typing because it autofades™ after a predetermined count of words.

Grammarian makes all the grammar corrections to the sentence before entering the sentence into your document. This allows you to proofread as you make changes.

Customize Grammarian’s rules to suit your tastes. The Grammar Check pane sets the Grammar Rules of the Rule Group and Writing Style, and the Spelling Pane sets the Spelling Rules.

The AutoCorrect pane allows customization of interactive automatic corrections. The AutoType pane allows the editing of AutoType shorthands.

Easily eliminate the Grammarian Dock icon and the Grammarian menu bar by changing this preference from the Grammarian Preferences Dock pane.

Quickly look up and replace words from your document. Dictionary definitions and thesaurus entries are shown with grammatical inflections. Click on the blue underline link to look up an associated word. Click Replace to transfer the replacement word into your document.
You can also copy a definition from the window to paste into your document.
